Dark Choc Tahini Slice
For all of the girlies (and boys) aren’t meeting their calcium intakes! This recipe is packed with tahini which is a fabulous source of calcium. Tahini is a fantastic way of getting additional calcium into your diet.
Give this recipe a try - it’s super delicious and perfect to pair with a cup of herbal tea in the evenings.
Ingredients:
1 block of dark chocolate (preferably 70% cacao or higher)
3/4 cup of hulled tahini
1 drizzle of honey
Nuts of choice (I use almonds)
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Method:
Melt dark chocolate over a stove and add in the coconut oil (this will help to maintain a silky consistency)
Once melted add tahini and drizzle of honey and mix thoroughly
Mix in chopped nuts of choice and pour the mixture into a lined slice dish
Freeze for 2 hours or until solid and then cut into desired sized squares
