Nutritional medicine is a holistic approach that utilises diet, nutrition and lifestyle interventions to prevent, manage, and treat health conditions. By focusing on the science of how nutrients affect the body, nutritional medicine aims to optimise overall wellness and address specific health issues. Yes! As a practitioner I can assist with reviewing your pathology results. If you require a referral for a test that will not be covered by Medicare I can assist with writing you a referral letter for your general practitioner.
If functional testing is needed, such as hair, stool, microbiome, or hormone testing, I can refer you accordingly. Please note that these tests typically require out-of-pocket payment and are usually not eligible for reimbursement. I will discuss the associated costs with you before proceeding.Once a referral is made, the laboratory will send you a testing kit with instructions for collecting and returning the sample. Payment for the test will be made directly to the laboratory at the time of sample submission. The results will be forwarded to me, and we will review them together during our next appointment.
